It’s Election day in my country. Many quick counts result are appearing here and there and somehow people are screaming about that like crazy. Meanwhile, i was watching a movie while #JokoWinElection popped on my twitter trending section.

Who is Joko Widodo?

According to Wikipedia, Joko Widodo (also known as Jokowi), is an Indonesian politician who is the seventh and current President of Indonesia. Elected in July 2014 as the first Indonesian president to not come from an elite political or military background, he was previously the Mayor of Surakarta from 2005 to 2012, and the Governor of Jakarta from 2012 to 2014.

Well, possibly he will also become the eighth President of Indonesia. Remember, i said possibly as the official result has not been announced yet. The election held today so don’t really rust those quick counts too much. Anything can happen in this world, who knows what’s the future hold?

As most of the quick counts result showing that he’s winning the election, it leads to most of his fans, followers and supporters to cheer up and be thankful in a way that they can do in most of social media. Although Jokowi himself told the citizen to hold their gratitude as the official result isn’t available yet.

As the time i wrote this post, the #JokoWinElection tweets almost hit 300k and it just keep going up. And as for myself, i don’t really care about all these stuffs. It’s just fun to observe and looking how most of the people giving their opinion about this.

The funny thing is when there’s two political parties compete each other in an election and when these quick counts result appear, those parties seems to declare themself as the winner.

In the end, i don’t really care.

Why don’t we just chill out and don’t be too hyped until the official result appear? It’ll be much better for us and we can save a lot of energies, and especially we can avoid for doing stupid things like become arrogant about the victory of a party even though it is absolutely uncertain.
