Do Not Disturb

Posted in:

You may just have heard that iv’e got a new phone, right? And yeah, that makes everything going smoother than before. I wasn’t really using a phone for like 2 – 3 months and dang, it’s just like hell for me. It’s not the worst but things getting more and more complicated because of it.

But guess what? Now i have one, but i don’t think i use it like the way i usually do. See the thing is, even if i have a phone and mainly i used it for communication, now i’m getting used with the silence. I don’t have that much buzz from people when i don’t use a phone. So instead of using it normally, i’m using the DND feature very often.

I don’t know if it’s me who doesn’t want to be bothered by other people, or if it is me who just like the way it goes when i don’t really have to do some digital interaction with people on my phone. Now i’m just using my phone to work or playing games, instead of texting or receiving phone call from someone. I don’t have that much people who try to contact me either.

So this feature, “Do not disturb mode”, is basically the most used toggle that i’m using on my phone. Usually people use this feature when they are driving or in a meeting, or maybe when in an exam or when they do the prayer. But me, i’m using it like the whole time. Maybe some of you are going to ask like “what’s the point?”. For me, i like to control things and sort things by the importance.

Like i will receive a call from someone who i know or have a name or at least there’s a photo on it. Second, i’ll only respond when they really need me. For example, i’m not going to pick up a phone unless you call me like two or three times. It sucks for most of the people, but it useful for me. I don’t want to be bothered by some people who just come and go asking things for nothing.

I know that i don’t do interaction that much these years. In fact, i’m more like introvert than extrovert now. But i’m enjoying it. For awhile. I dunno. Maybe.
